Knit-A-Long

Well, my KAL is coming along. Not as fast as I wish it was. So many things get in the way...oh, wait. I let things get in the way. I want to be able to be more efficient with my time, but it hasn't happened yet. But I am working on it.

Here is where I am on my shawl...

Hopefully next Monday I will be much farther!

WOW! It's Monday already!
What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you are like me and enjoy children's literature as well, then head over to Unleashing Readers ...or better yet. Google It's Monday What are you Reading? for numerous websites that are involved in this. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It’s also a great chance to see what others are reading right now.

What am I reading...well I am pretty slow on reading my grown-up book. So, yes, I am still reading Debbie Macomber.

For my picture book this week I am still reading a variety of texts for my ReFoReMo ChallengeI do have another book posted on my children's literature blog. It is A Butterfly is Patient.

So what are you reading today?

The pattern is is the Spring 2015 Edition of Love of Knitting magazine. I hope you will follow along as well.

For my picture book this week I am reading a variety of texts for my ReFoReMo Challenge. I am reading some biographies to guide my own writing of a biography for a picture book. Here is one that I am reading today...

I also read and reviewed a biography about Bessie Coleman on my other blog. You can find it here:

I find it interesting that so many people that have blogs about knitting or crafts are also readers and post what they are reading. So I decided that I will add what I am reading on Mondays as well...

I am working on a challenge for children's books right now called ReFoReMo. So one of the books I will be reading for this is How to Make Apple Pie and see the world by Marjorie Priceman. And there is an apple pie recipe in the back!

The other book I am reading is 16 Lighthouse Road by Debbie Macomber. My sister bought me the whole series for my birthday this past year, and I am finally going to start reading them!

And finally, for Craft Month...my granddaughter (Kennedi) is coming over today, and we will be "doing some crafts" as she put it! It is so much fun watching her as she creates something new.

So, what are you crafting today?

March is National Craft Month

Starting off...

Being that today is March 1st and the first day of National Craft Month, I decided to start my blog today. I'm not sure where it will take me, but I wanted to give it a try. Below are a couple of sites to visit for some crafting information and ideas!

I have a love and a passion for knitting. My grandmother taught me...oh, let's just say a long time ago. When she passed away, I felt that my artistic and crafty side went with her. But I have now decided to honor her by starting to craft again, and to start this blog. Love you Grandma!

Right now I have a scoodie on my needles. My grandmother made these for my sister and me one year when we lived up in Cleveland. They were really great to cover both your ears and neck.
