Added a Flower to the Baby Cap

Well, I was almost done...I added a flower to the cap!

So, I decided to make another head covering for the baby as a surprise. I started a bonnet. I think bonnets are so cute, and I absolutely loved the pattern. I used the same yarn that I used for the flower on the cap...it has pink and white in case you cannot see it in my photos.

I feel like I am doing so much better in my bible study. I am able to get my prayer time done in the morning with relatively little interruptions from my husband! Yay! I have worked hard to make sure I am not being superficial and am truly putting an effort into my time with the Lord.

The baby cap is finished!

YAY for me...the baby cap is finished. Well, almost. I have to knit some flowers and sew them on. Otherwise, the cap itself is done.

I hope everyone likes it.

My bible study on prayer is going well. I try to do my praying when I take my walk in the morning. My goal is to become more specific and consistent in prayer life.

I think I may have decided on my "One Word" for the year...PRODUCTIVE. Somehow I did not feel too productive in anything last year. Maybe with this being my "one word," I will do better this.

More work completed on baby cap!

Work has been going well on the baby cap. I am hoping to finish it up this weekend. Only problem is trying to find some patterns for flowers to attach to the cap. There are bunches for crochet flowers, but I cannily knit :(

My bible study is going pretty good. Somehow I know that I am not putting 100% into my praying. I have been struggling with prayers for awhile, so I am hoping this will help!

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.                                      - Matthew 6:6

Baby Cap

Another 11 rows completed of my pattern on the baby cap. It is finally beginning to take shape.

I went to Lifeway Christian Store today because they had a workshop on journaling. I have now decided that this is not for me. I just can't get into the writing and drawing in my bible. Not that I think it is wrong...it's just not for me.

My new bible study started on Monday on prayer. It is with Love God Greatly.

New WIP

I started the baby cap! Yes, I thought I would have started before yesterday, but I let things get in my way.

Okay, so why did I buy the Get to Work Book then? To keep me on track! My goal this weekend is to get my book going and start being more organized!

Back to my WIP...here it is!

I have a couple of other little surprises in mind...shhh...don't tell.

When I took my walk this morning, I was totally amazed by the beautiful sky and clouds. I was listening to my new iPod, and it has a camera. I snapped a few photos...

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.”

Blanket for the New Baby

Before I was asked to make a baby cap, I had already started a baby blanket. Now I did not know the baby's gender then, so I bought the yarn that has all the "baby" colors in it.

I have been working on it off and on for about a month. I like it...hopeful the new baby will too.

I was going to start on the baby cap today, but I got caught up in preparing for a workshop I am presenting at in a couple of weeks. I am working on a writer's notebook...and it is giving me ideas for my own writing. How AWESOME!

My bible study book from Love God Greatly came today. I can't wait to start the study on prayer. In the meantime I am working a new devotional on prayer as well: Whispers of Hope by Beth Moore. I am also reading Oh God, Please Teach Me To Pray by Leighann McCoy. I am noticing a theme here...

Debbie Macomber has a word each year that she choses. Her word this year is JOY. I have been thinking and trying to be lead by God on what my word should be, but I am coming up dry right now. I won't give up though! Maybe by Thursday I will have it...

Long Absence

It has been a very long time since I have been on either of my blogs...but especially this one. I had a couple of personal issues in my life come up and have been somewhat depressed about them. But it is a new year, and I want to start fresh.

I am working on a baby blanket because my husband and I are going to be grandparents again. It's a girl! My husband's daughter has also requested for me to make a baby cap...pink of course! I will be starting that this week.

I have been doing several bible studies lately with Love God Greatly. Their newest study will start on Monday, January 11th. It is on prayer...YAY!

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a blessed new year!
